FLUID MOVEMENT: with 12 high quality bearingsThe 3rd version of the Smoke retains the attractive skeleton design while keeping the "metal where it counts". The weight of the reel is greatly reduced without sacrificing strength and rigidity. The metal frame is sturdy while providing maximum fluidity. The new Reel Engine Design 2.0 (RED) provides fantastic smoothness and optimal line wrap, even with very thin braid. The rotor is made of an alloy of synthetic material and long carbon fibers (approx. 10 mm) used in the aerospace industry. They are extremely difficult to work with, but provide incredible strength. The reel also includes a "braid band", i.e. a rubber strap at the bottom of the reel allowing the use of braid without the need for backing or gluing to prevent the braid from turning on the reel.
