The light casting performance of the Curado BFS is ensured by the FTB (Finesse Tune Braking) system. This consists of a set of magnets housed in the side plate without a handle, which apply a force on the inner surface of the reel's spool. By turning the brake adjustment knob, you move the magnets either towards the inside of the spool (more braking force) or towards the outside, but there are no moving parts on the spool itself, which explains why it can turn so freely with so little force. The addition of the S3D spool design and Super Free Spool technology further enhances performance. The internal precision gears, bearings, and X-SHIP provide smooth and efficient winding power, and the overall weight is reduced by using a HAGANE aluminium body.
