The Angl-R Big Barbel rods have been specifically designed for barbel fishing in the rivers of the UK and Europe.

Made from high-strength carbon and featuring a very powerful butt section, this rod has a progressive action that allows for easy control of big fish.

The Avon tip is ideal for float fishing, rolled meat, or static bait. The Avon tip has been finished with a special luminous coating that glows in the dark after being exposed to a light source, such as a headlamp.

The rod is equipped with M-Series guides, spaced to allow the rod to perform as a barbel rod should, with a lovely progressive action. Other features include an anti-tangle tip guide, a screw-down reel seat, and a high-quality slim cork handle. For those fishing at night, the rod comes with two clip-on isotope holders (small and large) that can accommodate 2.2 mm or 3 mm isotopes which easily attach to the tip of the rod and contain a night glow isotope light.
