The sturdy and lightweight down jacket Naomi Expedition with a fixed hood is designed and developed for Arctic expeditions, your daily winter adventures, or on the slopes. It’s made from durable and water-repellent ripstop fabric and is filled with RDS-certified down (700 fill power) with a plush ratio of 90/10 down/feathers. On windy days, you can easily raise the cozy collar or use the robust and adjustable hood to stay warm and comfortable. It features clever details like an adjustable hood, adjustable sleeves, double-entry fleece-lined hand pockets, a secure zippered inner pocket, and an audio cable pass-through. If you get too hot, you can easily carry the jacket thanks to removable straps attached inside. The jacket Naomi Expedition pays tribute to the Japanese adventurer Naomi Uemura, who is particularly known for mastering solo adventures that were previously done in groups. He was, among other things, the first person to reach the North Pole and to climb Denali solo. He also took part in an expedition to Mount Everest, sponsored by Tenson, in 1981. The day after his 43rd birthday, Naomi Uemura disappeared while attempting to climb Denali in winter, and he will always be remembered as the lone adventurer. In spring 2022 - for the first time in 35 years (1987), the Swedish outdoor brand returned to the summit of Mount Everest! On May 15, 2022, Sonam Sherpa, General Manager of Sherpa Adventure and a member of the Tenson community, reached the summit of Everest wearing the Naomi Expedition jacket from Tenson! The carbon capture certificate ensures that all the carbon dioxide emitted during the manufacturing of a product is sequestered in trees.
