Garmin Beacon chirp

The chirp is a unique wireless beacon, specially designed for treasure hunting and outdoor adventures. Affordable, rugged and waterproof, the chirp can be programmed from compatible Garmin GPS units and communicate with Garmin GPS units with ANT+ technology (sold separately). The chirp can contain tips, puzzles to solve, information, the coordinates of multiple caches, or confirm the proximity of one or more caches. The chirp is protected by a password, it counts the number of visits, thus allowing to have exact statistics of frequentation and the autonomy of its battery can reach 1 year.

Get and keep tips

The chirp can be programmed by any Garmin-compatible wireless handheld device to store treasure hunt tips and other information. When other geocachers approach your beacon, they will be alerted to its presence and will be able to access the tips you have downloaded from the chirp. When you return, the chirp will tell you how many visitors have reached your treasure.

Set up a multi-cache

Thanks to chirp, configuring and managing a multi-cache has never been easier. Using your Garmin-compatible handheld device, the chirp automatically transmits the programmed coordinates so other geocachers can find every treasure in your multi-cache. Conversely, if you are participating in a multi-cache, the chirp allows you to download coordinates. You don't need to enter many complex coordinates: just one keystroke and you're already searching for the next treasure.

Designed to hide, designed to last

The chirp was designed by treasure seekers. It was therefore designed to withstand harsh external conditions. Furthermore, the chirp is password-protected, so you have full programming powers. The battery of the chirp, which can last up to a year, is easy to replace. The chirp's small size, resistance and watertightness make it ideal for treasure hunting. Thanks to its small size, this beacon fits perfectly in a natural environment and will be protected from the damage usually suffered on a panel.
