Description
Theory is the performance indoor climbing shoe designed for a perfect fit on the new shapes of holds and volumes in indoor climbing. Its extreme sensitivity combined with high dynamic ability allows for unprecedented spreading on footholds, making it particularly suitable for indoor use.Theory was born from the R&D department of La Sportiva studying the gripping abilities of gorillas and the sensitivity of feline pads, combining the evolutionary analysis of new routes in gyms characterized by very large volumes and extremely dynamic movements. It is designed to unleash maximum strength and agility while maintaining maximum sensitivity on all types of holds. New construction with exclusive D-Tech ™ (Dynamic Technology): the sole wraps around the shoe on the side for a complete absence of lateral edges, thus promoting dynamic placements and the spreading of the foot on the most advanced indoor hold shapes. The sole made of Vibram® XS-Grip2 compound with differentiated thickness at the toe enhances the grip on footholds, while the low-volume heel allows for maximum precision during heel hooks. The rubber cap covers 90% of the front surface of the upper to enhance stickiness while maintaining adaptability to different foot types. The overall structure of the shoe facilitates compressions on modern indoor route volumes and grip on intersections and the most technical passages thanks to its great adaptability. Finally, the upper strap closure with hook-and-loop allows for excellent tension adjustment. Theory: climbing-species evolution!
